Review: Dark is the Night by Brindle Chase
11:52 PM | Edit Post
4 StarsIn Brindle Chase's novel Dark is the Night we get a paranormal erotic plot. We first meet Alexander, a vampire. Next we meet Katherine, a police detective, who just happens to be investigating a set of his murders.
Dark is the Night
Author: Brindle Chase
Ebook
Pages: 173
When Alexander first observes Katherine he is instantly attracted to her only later after some sexually tensioned meetings does he learn that she is the detective that is heading his case: the one that he has been ordered to kill to in order to protect the secret that vampires exist.
Just from that much of a description you know the author has set up a plot that is intriguing.
This wasn’t a romance like I am used to it definitely has a dark undercurrent to it, which made it all the better for me. I loved the not knowing, the suspense and more.
There is a good bit of killing in the novel again as I said it has a dark undercurrent, but it was not random murder just to kill or be cruel we learn the whys of everything and I can not see the novel without it.
I also have to say it really surprised me. Not because I liked it so much, I knew from the description that it sounded like my kind of book but the erotic aspect of the novel was what really surprised me. Not to say that I am complaining. It counts as a plus to me. I miss Alexander and Katherine already. *sigh* LOL
I also really loved Katherine’s last spoken line in the novel. It was the perfect thing to say in my opinion.
I read it in just a couple hours, and though it is not a novel I would recommend to everyone I would definitely recommend the book to anyone who is looking for an erotica filled, darker paranormal romance novel.
*I received an Ebook copy of this book for free to review from the author.
